CoffeeIQ
Effective September 22, 2026
This notice explains how Christian Chamoun, trading as CoffeeIQ, operating CoffeeIQ, handles information when you use the service. It covers the CoffeeIQ website and app, not the services of Square, Clover, or other providers.
Effective date: September 24, 2026.
We collect the account email, shop name, login and membership information you provide; information from a connected point-of-sale account, including Square or Clover, such as merchant and location details, catalog items, orders, payment and refund records, totals, timestamps, and related reporting data made available through the permissions you approve; your questions and recent conversation in Ask CoffeeIQ; subscription identifiers and status if you use billing; and technical information needed to operate and secure the website, including session cookies and server logs. CoffeeIQ does not receive full payment card numbers, card security codes, bank login credentials, or POS account passwords from Square or Clover. We do not ask you to enter full card details into CoffeeIQ; Stripe handles checkout when billing is enabled.
We use this information to create and protect accounts, connect and refresh authorized point-of-sale data, show reports, answer your questions, manage billing when enabled, send account and recovery emails, provide support, diagnose problems, and prevent misuse. We do not sell customer or shop data.
When you ask CoffeeIQ a question, the app may send your question, up to eight recent chat messages, and an analytics summary for the selected period to OpenAI to generate a response. The summary includes sales, orders, refunds, top items, locations, and busy hours. It is not a full export of individual point-of-sale transactions. If you upload a vendor invoice, CoffeeIQ may send the invoice contents to OpenAI to suggest purchase-cost updates for your approval. If you upload a manual sales report, CoffeeIQ may send the report contents to OpenAI to extract sales totals and item details for your approval. Do not upload card numbers, passwords, bank account details, or unrelated personal information. We use OpenAI as a service provider to process merchant-approved requests and generate CoffeeIQ features; we do not sell shop data. We also use Supabase for accounts and data storage, Vercel for hosting, Square and Clover for authorized POS connections, Resend for account emails, and Stripe for billing. These providers process information needed to perform their services.
CoffeeIQ uses session cookies to keep you signed in and to protect POS connection processes. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers in the app. Browser Do Not Track signals do not change these essential cookies; we do not use them for cross-site advertising. Providers that host or deliver the service may collect technical logs under their own policies.
We limit shop data access to users authorized for that shop and use service providers to store and transmit it. We retain information while it is needed to operate your account and service, resolve issues, or meet legal obligations. Removing a Square or Clover connection may not automatically erase reports already imported into CoffeeIQ, but switching from one POS provider to another may remove or replace imported POS records so the dashboard reflects the newly connected provider. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
We also record acceptance of our terms, daily AI usage counts, and hashed identifiers used to prevent repeated free trials. Trial-eligibility records may remain after account closure for that purpose. Billing records may remain with Stripe where required for financial records or disputes. Deleted data may persist in backups until those backups expire.
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Protections may differ from those in your country. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate contractual safeguards for international transfers. CoffeeIQ is a business service for adults and is not directed to children under 18.
You can update certain account and shop details in the app and disconnect a POS integration using CoffeeIQ or the provider's controls. To ask about your information, request a correction, or request account and data deletion, email help@coiq.app from the address on your CoffeeIQ account. We may verify your identity before acting. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate records. Privacy rights vary by location; we will handle applicable rights requests under the law that applies to you.
We may update this notice when our data practices change and will post the new effective date here. For privacy questions or requests, contact help@coiq.app.
